We learned today that epoxy creep was to blame for the tragic accident at the Big Dig tunnel in Boston.  See http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/11/us/11bigdig.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin for details.

The scary thing is the claim that the designers had no concept of creep.
