TerraCosta staff is highly experienced in performing geologic hazard evaluations for all types of sites. Geologic hazards are commonly thought of as those hazards related to seismic activities, such as liquefaction, settlement, seismically-induced landslides, and fault rupture. However, geologic hazards can also include expansive soils, landslides and mass movements caused by factors other than earthquakes, subsidence and collapse due to fluid withdrawal or the application of water (hydrocompaction), differential settlement, various coastal processes, such as coastal erosion and tsunamis, and surface hydrology and flooding.
