Geo-Institute
"Founded in 1996, the Geo-Institute (G-I) of the American Society of Civil Engineers is one of the seven specialty institutes of ASCE. The G-I represents more than 10,000 geotechnical engineers and over 35 Organizational Members who work to advance the geo-engineering community to help improve the built environment, mitigate natural hazards, and construct sound and reliable engineered facilities and structures. The G-I also serves as the United States of American member society of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE)."
